Altshuler Berzon LLP is pleased to announce that Eric P. Brown and Matthew Murray became members of the partnership on January 1, 2018. Eric is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School. Prior to joining the firm, Eric served as a law clerk to Judge Kermit V. Lipez of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and to Chief Judge Mark L. Wolf of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. In 2016, he was named a “California Lawyer of the Year” by the California Lawyer magazine for his work in the Walmart warehouse litigation.
Matt is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Harvard Law School, and also received a Master in Public Policy degree from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. Prior to joining the firm, Matt served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Margaret Marshall of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Matt is a member of the Board of Directors of the Legal Committee of the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California. He was a contributor to the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law’s The Fair Labor Standards Act, 2nd Edition, 2012, 2015, and 2016 Cumulative Supplements. He was named a “Rising Star” in the 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017 Northern California Super Lawyers listings in San Francisco Magazine.
