Altshuler Berzon LLP is delighted to announce that Lisa Demidovich has joined the firm as a lateral partner effective December 1, 2024. Lisa is an experienced litigator, having served as lead counsel in labor, employment, civil rights, and constitutional law class and representative actions and writ proceedings, as well as in NLRB trials, administrative hearings, and arbitration hearings; and has authored briefs in cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and D.C. Circuits and the California Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal. Lisa also has extensive experience supporting successful organizing drives and contract campaigns.
Lisa graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and clerked for the Honorable Kim McLane Wardlaw of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has spoken at numerous labor law conferences and authored several articles regarding a wide range of labor and employment law topics. Lisa has served as chapter editor for the treatise How to Take a Case Before the NLRB. Prior to joining Altshuler Berzon LLP, Lisa was a partner at a Los Angeles-based union-side labor law firm and before that, was in-house general counsel for a large health care union.
Lisa is active in Southern California and national legal organizations. She is a member of the ABA Committee on International Labor and Employment Law, active in the AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance, and an ex-officio lawyer representative to the Ninth Circuit for the Central District of California.
Lisa is excited about working with the attorneys and staff at Altshuler Berzon LLP while continuing to represent labor unions and workers throughout California and the nation, and contributing to the firm’s long tradition, dating back to the firm’s founding in 1978 by Fred Altshuler and her father-in-law, Stephen Berzon, of advancing economic justice and representing workers and working families.
Altshuler Berzon LLP is thrilled to have Lisa join us. We are confident that Lisa’s talents and dedication to the labor movement will strengthen and expand our ability to continue providing excellent legal representation to its clients. Welcome, Lisa!
