In law school, Colin volunteered with the Transgender Empowerment & Advocacy pro bono project and interned for the Transgender Law Center, the EEOC, and law firms working on nonprofit and civil rights issues. He was named Best Oralist in the Keedy Cup moot court competition and served as an Articles Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. His law review comment, Systematizing Discrimination: AI Vendors & Title VII Enforcement, received the Herman Lazarus prize for best employment law paper and he was recognized with the M.H. Goldstein Memorial Prize for excellence in the field of labor law.

Prior to law school, Colin worked in program, communications, and compliance roles for grantmaking foundations in Portland, Oregon, supporting investments in community-based organizing and civil rights initiatives.
