In law school, Jonathan served as a student co-director of the Tenants’ Rights Workshop, a program at the East Bay Community Law Center that provides legal advice to low-income tenants in Oakland, Berkeley, and Alameda. He also participated in Berkeley Law’s Environmental Law Clinic, and was a Supervising Editor for the California Law Review and an Articles Editor for Ecology Law Quarterly. He spent a semester working at the ACLU of North Carolina, and during his summers he externed at the Southern Environmental Law Center and the Office of the Solicitor of the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Jonathan grew up in Oakland, and in his spare time enjoys playing music, reading with a cup of coffee, and spending time outdoors in the Bay Area.
